conky weather …

Mon écran actuel avec un autre conky avec météo sur l’écran. Thème des icônes provient du dernier ubuntu 9.10 : humanity. Et voici le conky (au centre de l’écran):

webcam sous debian …

Depuis quelque temps j’ai essayé d’installer une webcam de la marque A4Tech sans succès sur ubuntu 9.04 ensuite sous la RC 9.10. Il y a peu de temps par contre j’ai réussit à la faire fonctionner à merveille sous debian lenny… pourquoi sous debian et pas ubuntu, là je n’ai pas de réponse. Mais en voyant les paquets utilisés pour la faire fonctionner (A4Tech PK-5) sous debian je me demande si le paquet disponible sous debian à savoir gspca-modules 2.626.2.686 ne fait pas toute la différence avec l’installation sous ubuntu.  Il est impossible de le trouver sous ubuntu. Voici les paquets installés pour cette webcam:

Une fois tout installé, je redémarre debian et en faisant fonctionner le programme camorama la webcam fonctionne. Il est de même pour le skype sous debian, elle marche très bien. Voilà ;) Si par contre quelqu’un peu me dire quel paquet faut-il installer sous ubuntu pour la faire fonctionner, j’en serai reconnaissant. Merci ;)

Webcam indiquée par camorama est Generic Vimicro 303b … essentiel que cela fonctionne ;)

 

régler la date et l’heure sous debian – suite …

Il y a quelque temps j’ai eu un problème pour régler la date et l’heure sous un debian fraîchement installé, donc j’ai mis ce petit article (le 21.06.2009) pour venir en aide peut-être, qui sait, à ceux qui piétinent parfois en commençant leur aventure avec linux ;) Comme l’article est souvent consulté, enfin parfois, je dois ajouter un petit détail que j’ai pas mentionné dans l’article précédent. Pour faire ce réglage, il faut être en root, une; ensuite il faut bien mettre deux traits devant la date ou l’heure, en l’occurrence devant le « - -set ». Voilà, une petite précision. Vous verrez, qu’après avoir fermé le terminal, la date ou l’heure ne change pas sur le panel de votre bureau gnome… Il suffit de régler la date et l’heure en y appuyant une fois et vous verrez qu’en actualisant les donnés, tout change sur le panel d’indiquation. Et rien ne vaut qu’une petite illustration.
